Alex's Jewellery is individually handcrafted in her studio, where each piece is carefully considered using a variety of traditional jewellery techniques. Just as much care is taken over her simpler designs as with those more detailed pieces. Alex not only gets pleasure from the challenge of realising her ideas into physical objects, but also gets the sense of achievement from creating something precious that will be treasured by its recipient.

Alex often draws inspiration from her surrounding environment, past and present. She spent her childhood years in the countryside, inheriting her father's interest in wild flowers and love of beach-combing rocky coastlines.

From a young age Alex has expressed her creative ideas into 3D forms which later led her to seek a career that would utilize these skills. After training in Display Design, Alex worked for a company building bespoke props and window schemes for stores such as Harvey Nichols, later going on to pursue a career in architectural model making, based in the heart of London. Alongside this 12 year career, Alex was inspired to explore her underlying ambition to be a jeweller. She enrolled on a jewellery course where she learned the basic skills of working with precious metals. It quickly became a passion and Alex continued to develop her proficiency in fine jewellery making. These former influences are reflected in her jewellery and silverware "an architectural style softened by her love of natural forms."
